Fintech in Africa is evolving quickly, and it's changing the very nature of how business happens on the continent. The Decode Fintech Newsletter has been helping us keep up with what's going on and the Decode Fintech Podcast is an audio show where the people building Africa’s financial infrastructure share what they’re seeing on the frontlines — what’s working, what’s not, and what’s next.

Decode Fintech is one of Paystack's varied media properties. Over the course of three years, I've had the pleasure of working on and defining the look of this super experimental brand. From episode cover sets for the podcast's second season to infographics for the blog, DF has offered me and the team our favourite sandbox for playing with unusual imagery, layouts and visual metaphors.

The visual language for DF has evolved in more ways than I can account for. Currently, it leverages isometric grids and minimalistic gradients to give form to its restrained shapes, communicating the complexities of the world of fintech with mundane objects doing anything but what you'd expect.
